Afternoon,
I am just wondering if you could please answer the following question
I have 2 x ERS Nortel 5520 switches. One which is HW:04 and one which is HW:32.
They are running the same FW: 5.0.0.3 and SW:v5.0.8.035
But when enabling the Telnet write access through the console port access on the older HW version 04 it is asking for 10 character password with an upper case and symbol. But on the HW version 32 it will accept any password with no upper case letters or numbers.
Why on an older Hardware Revision is the more complex password set ? And can you turn this back to a simple password using the CLI ?
Regards
Mucca
