5510 Unit Falling out of Stack

8 5510-48T's stacked.
Base unit falls out of stack every couple weeks.

What are possible causes? Could it be traffic load, traffic type or something else? Thanks.

UPGRADE ! We had the same problem, and a upgrade did solve the problem.

I figured as much, but that involves some downtime. I was hoping for a workaround : )

Updating code on a stack of 3 5510's takes about 68 seconds from traffic stop to traffic restart. Management IP takes longer to come back to life. Granted you have to do it twice if you need the diag. I have not timed a stack of 8. Doubt it would be drastically longer.

And if you have STP enable it takes time..
