Afternoon
We have an Avaya ERS5510 switch running with advanced routing software connecting to our managed WAN.
We have a seperate Avaya ERS5520 stack (2 switches) so server a bank of servers.
The 5520 has a single trunk port (switch 1 port 48) connecting back to the 5510 (Port 24).
To add a little resilency into the set-up we want to add another trunk between the two switches - the 5520 will have a second trunk port (switch 2 port 48) connecting back to the 5510 (port23).
Is this as easy as simply settings up a trunk port at both ends or do I have to worry about potentially creating loops?
