Mitel has screwed up IMO. Upgrading to MiVB 9 discontinues options 128-134, making you move DHCP off of the Mitel to something else in order to support the IP Paging unit.

You would think that Mitel would update the firmware to these to support option 125, or allow the legacy options to be added manually in the upgraded system.

I get it, that they are trying to sell new products... but things like this really burn.

Can this be assigned globally? If so, I think you could creat a custom template for the 15GlobalOPtions and add the values the. Then expend-template /etc/dhcpd.conf

You can always delete a custom and re expand

Might be harder if needing to assign by scope

I wasn't aware of a back door method of doing DHCP on the MiVB. I'll have to look at the file.
I know that some files when you manipulate them, the system will do a self check and rebuild them to what Mitel sends.

If global works, I would copy the existing 15GlobalOptions in the etc/e-sitn/templates/dhcpd.conf. It is hard to explainn, because I would use midnight commander. Ir you type mc in a putty session you would see what I mean.

Onec you find the path to th original file in one pane, you can recreated the path in the other. Where one in nameplates and the second is custom-templates. I would copy the existing file then edit with nano since you can paste it it unlike edit in mc. saw good examples in a isc mitel linux dhcp options post as to how this might be done
