5485 IP page adapter and Page zones

I have a 5485 IP page adapter connected to a Valcom paging unit. Getting intermittent choppy pages.Already checked out Valcom equipment. Mitle tech support thinks it's a bandwidth issue. Does anyone know how much bandwidth is actually consumed by a single page. The Page adapter is also connected to a remote site connected by 2 P2P T1s. Reason we are using Page adapter was because could not put phones in page zone to page over speakerphones because a page zone group of five phones took up to much bandwith. We are running a 3300 MCD 4.1 with embedded vm. Any thoughts or recommendations?

What about trying to compress the voice to the paging adapter? Does it program as a phone? ( never seen one ).

There may be no i in team but there are three f's in fudge off.

the adapter is programmed as a 5310 IP phone. How do I compress voice to a single device?

I believe you need to add the phone into a compression zone.

Used direct page feature to call the page adapter directly instead of putting it in a page group. This made the page peer to peer without having to route the audio through the controller. Choppy pages have disappeared.
