5360IP Phone disable screensaver

I have a customer who does not want to use the scrensaver option on the 5360IP phone.
There has been a feature change on the 5360 firmware on rel 4.1 and above where the disable screensaver option no longer works.

The customer wants to monitor certain keys and even though increasing the timeout to the maximum it is not what they want.

Has anyone got a workaround for this?
I was thinking that if I rename/remove the Default_Screensaver.spx from the /db/Html/defaults folder on the controller the phone would no longer be able to load the screensaver, however I am concerned that this might affect something else. Also it would not survive a system restore/upgrade.

Any advice welcome.

I think this has been discussed before but no-one had a deninate answer. Maybe one for the lab.

On another note, I have a customer who wants to have the display turn off during the evening (hotel with 5360's in bedrooms). Does anyone know if this is possible? Maybe a black screensaver, but presuming the backlight would still be on for this.

The blanking of the screen can be acheived by using HTML apps.
I have seen this working on hotel phones where the screen goes blank after 10secs, where they were using a HTML app to control the screensaver.

If you delete the default screen saver from the system the phone will error and no longer work, Sorry cant answer your other question but I had tried this in the lab previously.
