5340 Url Key view web on phone ?

So wondering what the URL key is really for is there like an intergrated Browser within the 5340 (tech support has no clue)

i mean like view sites like the 5235 did i see URL line keys to program but theres nothing there i know the app of IOC that i can get the keys to work with the phone kind of like shortcut links to run Programs

I have played around with it but I think it is only for the IOC. That has been the only way I have been able to program a web page button on my phone.

well i did program up one via Mulitline set key assignment But when i go to IOC and click on program keys its grayed out....


So im not to sure on how to load a web page do you need a gui App first then run it from there....

I again talked with Tech support and they have no idea


Below taken directy from THE 5330/40 DOC

Enable URL Displays on your Phone To enable third-party URLs to display in the Web Browser application:1. Press Settings or . 2. Press Go to URL. 3. Press the checkbox Enable. 4. Press Save

AND heres the other part for it

Go To URL: Allows you to enable third party URLs to display in the Web Browser application




What web Browser Application

anyone have the slightest Idea

I think it's for Personal Assistant application. It's connecting to the phone and can read some events from it. I think it can open URL in your default browser when you press the button. I don't see any use for it since you can have a shortcut on a desktop...

Its grayed out if you open the Personal Assistant app and you have to program its own button

like the 5235 in the applications it has the web browser Application

And MITEL DIRECT had a demo about this but Tech support cant seem to find it (is it for a future release)....

Now supposedly with Sales engineering....

they said it can be done through the MSA portal with a XML app but its not on by default
