I just discovered that there are patch files for a display glitch on 5340 keylines.

a secretarial phone with a keyline appearance of another set will display caller id of a 3rd party while the call is in progress on the prime keyline.

Not the best if the boss is talking to his mistress.

there are 3 files that need to be placed in the TFTP directory and the set reloaded.

from the README file....
Procedure to apply firmware fix 1.3.0.25 to address

P.221939 Key line appearances on 5330 and 5340 show caller id on line and label disappears

This fix will be neogotiated to be in 8.0 Ur4

This fix is to ensure that Label remains on without CLID.
If the customer wants to see the caller id (instead of label), float key is required to enable.

You can actually duplicate it by turning both ONS CallerID options on as well.

I was hoping no one reported that bug, I actually liked the way it worked!

The patch indicates that you can use float keys to enable the option.

My customer really hated it.
