Has anyone run into a problem where a user can not use the application button? It shows up on the phone, but when you press it nothing happens.

There are 15 other 5340s that are working properly.

Is the application button in the default spot? Key 16 on the first page?

I have had problems in the past with this button. Specifically when I build key 16 (or 8 on the 5330) as anything other than a "not used" key. When the set first comes up, the applications key is "build" on these default keys as long as they are unused. After these keys are built, you can then program another one somewhere else and use key 18 (or 8) as another type of key. For this reason, I try to make every effort not to program this key in templates.

Mitel may have fixed this issue in a recent release. What release are you running?

At a guess, you programmed the application key thru ESM.

As Patterson suggests, the key will only function in the default location if the system created it at first connection.

If it is not working, you can re-create it thru the programmable keys function directly at the phone.

I've heard the PC Companion can create it as well but never tried.

Last comment, if you are running 8.0 UR3 or higher, you do not need it at all as the Blue key is now the applications key.
