Hi Guys,

I have a Mxe Ver 8.0.5.12 with a large number of 5330's. There have been a small amount of them that have suddenly stopped working. They seem to show signs of diminishing audio volume on the handset then for no reason they lose their network connection. On rebooting, they don't get the VLAN info and just sit there "Discovering".
I have tried defaulting the phones and assign static network values but no joy. Its as if they just gave up.
Any ideas on why this happened or what I can do to test?

Cheers, Stephen.

If I remember right, there was a series of phones that we had the same problem with. Release 8 seems to be about the right time frame. The only thing we could do was send them in for repair.

I'm in the process of checking the warranty's. Thanks for the reply. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

How are the phones powered?
Are they all on the same POE switch?

You can't believe anything you read... unless of course it's this sentence.

They are all on differnet POE switches. We're only a month away from MCD 4.0 and the faults aren't too often so the customer is happy to wait.
