3300 MXe11 4.0 SP1 stand alone no cluster

5330 sets when saving or activating call forward profiles egg timer hangs for several minutes. Sometimes it will save but even then when activating profile same thing egg timer hangs forever. Eventually get your call forward profile failed to activate.

This happens on all 5330 sets in the system although it is intermittent

This controller was shipped with 9.0 but upgraded to what was at the time the latest version 4.0 SP1

Checked ICP IP address in ICP/PBX form is correct

Checked that options in COS HCI/CTI/TAPI Monitor Allowed are enabled I have searched for similar posts but found nothing along the same lines.

Any ideas ?

Sorry actually 3300 4.0 SP3

No Suggestions or advice on this?

Still having problems with the 5330 sets. It's intermittent on all 5330 sets in the system. Call forward profiles fail to activate or will not save when adding a new one.

Also sometimes unable to delete a call forward profile. Press delete get egg timer for what must be too long and no change on display and profile still there.

Have reset system no change. How can I confirm that the sets have latest firmware?

Thanks

If I were a betting man, I'd say it was a bug. Mitel does not publish known faults unless they have a resolution for them. Next step would be to talk to them directly.

To be sure the sets have the latest firmware go to Maintenance commands in the ESM and enter "load ipdevice 1 to x" (where x = the total number of ip devices inthe system. Do not enter the "). This needs to be done whenever a 3300 is upgraded to push the latest firmware to the sets.

Thanks guys

Yea Mitel Tech Support dont seem to have any answers to this.

Thanks for confirming the load ipdevice, did that already for each device that is 5330 set. I will keep an open ticket with Mitel.

there's no chance that you're into the database via telnet at the time is there?

I think its probably a bug. THe only other thing I can think of are there any network issues? Are the sets on the same VLAN as the 3300? What gateway do the sets have? My thinking is they are having some difficulty sending info to the 3300. Not sure how the info from the profiles gets sent to the 3300.

Loopylou may be on the right track here but I have a different theory. How busy is your system? Are there many applications running that might consume processor time? Or is there anything that might cause higher than normal harddrive activity?

Hard Drive read/write is a relatively low priority for the system.

No not using telnet at same time.

Flat voice network no vlan, 3300 is connected to a 3com switch that in turn is connected via 1 gig fibers to two HP 48 port POE switch's just for the phones.

Have MBG with 10 remote sets. We also have UCA 3.0 but only about 20 clients and as yet no remote clients.

As it's intermittent to all 5330 sets I'm thinking resources too.

going to pull some system logs and send of to Mitel. will update as and when

Thanks all
