On a recent install out of 40 5330's I've so far found 3 where the button layout is wrong.

1 had the Volume down key pointing up
2 had the Hold key and Settings keys in the reverse positions.

Note: this is so far. Not a happy camper.

Sounds like you're getting punked! A few years ago we had a bunch of phones with no printing at all on the keys.

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

In 2008, our new installation had 250 phones and all button label faded out within 2-3 months. Mitel did not believe me until I sent the phone back.

Mitel sent their tech back on-site and replaced all our phones on their dime. It tells you how bad the quality of these phones. These phones are made in China, and I assume they watch Olympic 2008 and did not care about quality.

Not being punked. Sealed boxes. It is not easy to fix so I can't imagine someone going thru the trouble to change these as a joke.

@WCTek:The ink fading off the keys of 5340's is a known issue that Mitel owned up to.

Welcome to cheap manufacturing in China where quality control is a joke. Probalby the phones are made of lead paint to.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

For the Record, mine say Made in Canada.

That's only the label.

I'm guessing someone at the factory has a box of threes sitting on top of their refrigerator at home.
