Hi,

I have a 3300 CX II with 4.1 sp2 loaded. Initially when the phones boot, they download firmware and software. The phone resets, then after it displays "using option 125" the phone displays "resetting" and reboots. If I remove the gig stand and go straight into the phone, the phone works 100%.
I have tested on my lab system and the phone does the same thing. Only when I remove the gig stand and the phone gets new software (lab system is 4.1 sp2) it works with the gig stand in place again.

I have reloaded the system from scratch and it was ok until the power went off for a UPS change and now does the same thing.

Any ideas??

How are you powering the gig stands? through POE or power brick? What type of data switches have you got?

POE on HP switches. Don't think it is the switches, but am open to any suggestions.

you don;t happen to to have a power brick to you? Try it with that to prove a point.

Just be aware that if you don;t have a 1gbit power brick the 100mb one will work ok but will only give 100mb

Thanks, I will try that.
I am going to recreate the setup on another CX IIand see what happens.

Solved the problem.
Another CX II with MCD 4.1 sp 2 did the same thing.
Downgrade to MCD 4.1 and the gig stands work fine.
It seems the combination of CX II with MCD 4.1 sp 2 is the issue.
I have another site running sp 2 with an Mxe with no issues on gigstands.

Strange indeed.

Maybe try fixing the speed of the port on the switch, Its not reccomended but got me around similar situations previously

Version 1 or 2, Gig stands?
Also check release notes for required firmware level.
