Hi, on a brand new install all the 5330 phones get name and number display from calls coming in through a PRI.

However, the 5324s get calling name only.. It is a problem because these phones are police dispatch phones, generally not emergency calls but who knows.

The DID for the 5324s gets a speedcall translation to a hunt group, ringing key lines on 3 5324 sets. I tried a similar setup on site with 5330s and those do display the number with same COS, etc...

I guess it has to do with the limited size of the 5324 display, it there a way to force it to show the number first?

thanks!

I can't use multicall, these are 3 dispatcher phones, they need to be able to put the incoming lines on hold from any of these 3 phones and retrieve them from any of the others, they had an M1 and it was configured like that earlier...

Besides I'm pretty sure I tried calling them on their multicall and got the same result..

How about removing the hunt group name or making it shorter
from memory Max 10 letters for name

I believe the only thing you can do is toggle from the name to number display.

From the help files
Note: Lines rung by a non-DPNSS trunk that is capable of delivering both calling name and number will display both at the same time for large display sets and provide a toggle mechanism for lower end display sets during ringing state. This applies only to the 5020, 5220, 5220 (Dual Mode), 5224, 5312, 5320, 5324, 5330, 5340, 5360 IP Phones and Navigator. When both the "Calling Party Name" and "Calling Party Number" are available, the name will always be displayed first on the 5212 and 5224 during ringing. To see the number on a 5224, press the Toggle softkey. On a 5212, "Calling Party Number" is not available until the call is answered.

I went to mitel trying to achieve calling number display and was told they would send it to R&D.

SuperNova, the hg name does not show at all during ringing..

The toggle softkey will be one of the 3 keys under the display?
