Have booted a 5320 into SIP ode by holding star and 7 keys together at start up.

Am trying to access through the phone menu facilty the admin tool to change access from tftp to http to configure the handset via is internal web interface, and I am asked for a password.

Have read the sip / admin guide which only mentions the web u/n and pw of user / hello and admin / 5320. Either pw doesn't work.

Does anyone know the password?

the couple of times I have done it, it has always been the phone type as the password.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Agree, last time i did this was with a 5330, I used 5330, all good.

On this occassion 5320 doesn't work on a 5320!!..... I have tried on two brand new 5320s, straight out of the box with same result.

Found a guide online that says for the Web Configuration tool to use a user of

user

and a password of

hello

The administrator is still shown as a user of

admin

and password of

5320 ( i.e the phone type ).

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

The guide I have shows the same.

When I browse to the phone's IP address I get a tftp options page, not a login prompt as normal. Hence suspect the http access is turned off and why attempting to review / turn on http via phone menu and getting stuck on password required through the phone menu facility.

Frustrating.............

The SIP page admin password for the 5320 is "admin"

So, admin/admin

Thanks for that....

I eventually worked how to get into the 5320...

1/ Connect to 3300, phone booted, go its ip address then web browsed to 5320.

2/ Entered tftp address of 3300 and selected english. Phone rebooted, after firmware update from tftp server in 3300 it then allowed me to log into the web interface proper with username admin, password admin.

The beast is happily working on an asterix box.......

I was a little thrown off by the initial request for a TFTP server... I pointed it to the public IP of an MBG and it was able to gets its load that way. Having an issue with registration now though, different thread :)

@Jakt99 were you completely successful in getting that 5320 up and running on SIP?

We had to contact Mitel and they were able to reproduce an issue we have where the User registration does not populate in the Registration page. What firmware are you using?

Nevermind, figured out that we needed to have a LINE KEY in order for the phone to register... go figure! It's always the SIMPLEST of things.
