I was going to see if anyone else has experienced an issue with call forward no answer on the 5320 phones. Using the super key on the telephone, I created a new profile on the phone with CFD no ans internal and external and then activated it. When you call the set, you see "forward call" at the top of the screen but the call never forwards after 4 rings. It just keeps ringing and ringing (i havent programmed call rr 1st alt yet).

On the other hand when I see the "forward call" button appear, if pressed, it does forward the call to the programmed location.

After going through this numerous times on the phone, I went to check this out on another 5330 phone in the office (same cos). It works just as I expected to on that phone. It seems like there may be something wrong with this feature on the phone. can anyone else verify?

forgot to mention that this has been tested on my local mxe controller running at 4.1 and anohter mxe running 4.0 sp2.

Enter the maintenance command Locate feature extension xxxx (where xxxx is the extension of the 5320 phone). The response will show if the forwarding is actually active and to what extension the forwarding is set to go to.

when you program you also have to 'turn on' the forwarding. So press the superkey, go to call forwarding, NA-INT, press review, you will see your programmed destination displayed, press change, if it displays 'turn on' on the screen that means that the feature is programmed but not active if it displays 'turn off' then it is active.

Also if your dial tone is broken then this idicates there is an active feature like CF if dial tone is not broken then no active features set.

You can also run the maint command 'loc feat <ext no>' to see active CF etc.

nevermind. I didnt have call forward no answer internal enabled (since thats where I was testing from)
