Has anyone come across 5220's phonebook disappear? I am running release 6.1.

The softkeys still work but all of the display above it does not appear. The happened after rebooting the phone.

LCD is not faulty as when it boots, there is display on the bottom half of the phone. Doubtful if it's the phone also cause I have the same problem on two other phones at the same site. Again all the menus seem to work but does not display. Phones worked fine.

just a thought the firmware might be the issue

try firm kill then the PLID

I would suggest checking the firmware before you attempt this though

you can't do a firm kill on an ip set. they download the latest firmware available when the set boots.

Mitelpassion, we only have about 4 sites running 6.1 and haven't experienced this problem yet

as I said. The phone worked fine. I also have about 4 or 5 sites running 6.1 and have never seen this problem. I also contacted the local Mitel 3rd level engineer and he too is dumbstruck by this.

If anyone does find something in future, maybe share your solution if you find one.

Regards,
Eugene

For grins, try programming up a Speak@Ease in the Misc assignment then set up one of you COS with Speak@Ease Preferred = yes
then toggle the COS of one of the phones, see if you see Speak@Ease show up on the phone

I rebooted the system. Made no changes to the network, programming etc and it was fixed.

Eugene
