I realise these were pulled for being rubbish.

Ive got a load of 5215s that were bought at the same time.

A Plantronics headset and attachment cable that works in one will not work in another.

Symptoms are that with headset enabled the handset speaker works. Only way I can get around it at the moment is to putthe headset cable into the handset socket and leave the handset disconnected.

Im assuming that its a revision problem as other 5215's work.

Anyone seen the problem?

The headset jack on the bottom of the phone should not be used except for direct corded headsets.

If the headsets you are using have a base station then the headset plugs into the handset jack, the handset into the base station and a headset key is programmed on the phone to toggle the functionality.

These are just micky mouse direct cabled ones, nothing fancy.

No wireless/BT.

Check the color of the crystal of the headset plugin. With Plantronics headsets clear crystals means that they plug into adaptors, fogged/greyish crystals are for direct connection.
