One of the offices I maintain has a 5201 in their conference room. Is it possible to answer a multicall on a 5201?

Thanks,

Jay

The 5201 is a single line instrument. However, it's prime line appearance can certainly be "Multicall" assuming it is also a companion appearance on another set.

You can also do a "Call Pickup" of a Multicall line that's not associated with the 5201 (assuming you're in earshot of the ringer and it is in the same call pickup group or you perform a directed call pickup)

Directed call pickup only works for the prime line of a set. if the line ringing is a multicall on a secondary button, Directed Pickup will fail. Unless Mitel changed this recently of course, hard to keep up.

Would this work if the multicall associated with a physical device such as an ONS port?

If I understand your question correctly, Yes.

An ONS port can appear as a Multicall on up to 32 phones. Directed call pickup of the ONS Prime Line will pickup the call.
