want to disable 500 sets on a CS1000 and to delete ports not being used. but at midnight the system enables them back. how can I stop this.

That's odd as usually the midnight routines disable digital sets that aren't connected. Analogue sets aren't really affected as the system can't test them.

Two choices

One, stat the card slots in LD 32 using e.g. STAT "004 0 0" etc. You can also stat the individual TN.
Look for ones that are disabled.

Once you have found them, go into LD 10

REQ: OUT
TYPE 500
TN "TN"

Sometimes, they can't be removed if the set is being monitored or it belongs to a hunt group. You need to remove the DN from the hunt group and the TN from the digital set that is monitoring it.

The attached guide is old but is easy to follow.
