when I build a new 500 set on a single line card it automatically fills in the wrls (wireless unit)prompt after I enter cust 0 prompt. It only seems to happen for this one cardslot.I swapped the card out and it still does the same thing when I out it and re-build it?????User's were reporting that the phone rings and when they pick it up they can not hear the caller. These were existing sets that were reported,Then when I saw wrls-yes I tried to out it and re-build it thinking that may have been the problem. We just upgraded from 25.15 to 25.40 opt. 81c.Any ideas??

IT'S A SOFTWARE BUG, THERE IS A PATCH FOR IT BUT IF I REMEMBER RIGHT YOU WILL HAVE TO DELETE ALL THE ANALOGS THEN HAVE THE PATCH INSTALLED THEN REBUILD YOUR PHONES.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH IT YOU CAN ALWAYS DO A CPY INSTEAD OF NEW, I DID THAT FOR A LONG TIME BEFORE THE PATCH CAME OUT

When you program the first port of an analog card you must say WRLS no and then the rest of the ports will come up not as wrls. I did not know of a patch but who am I. You have to prgm the first port of a new card as I said above and all will be ok. If you have to change an existing card to wrls no then you have to take ALL the ports out and get the switch to no know it as a analog card. After you out all the ports program it as a trunk card (dont have to be a physical card in the slot) and the out the trunk. The switch will no longer recognize it as a NT8D09(03). The reprogram the 500 port with wrls as NO on the first one.

Thanks to all.I printed the tnb's outed all the ports on the card and rebuilt them making sure the 1st one I did I answered "no" to the wrls prompt. The rest went fine. All I can think of is someone programmed the 1st port when the whole card was uniquipped for wrls-yes and the system recognized it as a wrls card.Again thanks!
