50 GB HDD with AIX5.1

Hi,

I have 3 hotswap Frames (68 pin) for a RS/60000 F50. can I build into this Frames HDD e.g. ST150176 50GB, SCSI 80 pin with an adapter 80->68 pin and under AIX 5,1 operate?

that should work but of course it will not be supported by IBM. it is generally a bad idea to put non-IBM parts in an RS6K, even though they are supposed to comply with the standards.
