From time to time my customer sees alarm 50-8 on the control set. I check the alarm banner and find this as the description: A Digital Station Computer Module on bus 08 has been disconnected or powered down. Power down the system and check all connections to the module. If the problem persists, replace the module.

any thoughts on where to start?

if in expansion..first reseat card and amp then replace cable...if its just a digital module try and reseat card and amp then replace digital module

Bus 8 can't have any TDM devices though. I don't recall what bus 8 is reserved for exactly - I believe it has something to do with the voicemail ports/IP side of the system.

Might your system be a candidate for the MSC replacement? That usually kicks out 50-1 alarms though, but its a possiblity it's a flaky MSC card.
