We are looking to upgrade a CS1000M from 5.5 to 7.5 and was looking for anyone that has done this and what to expect. Will we be able to use Procomm or any other serial type device to admin the PBX after the upgrade? Also once we go to 7.5 would we be able to downgrade back to 5.5 or 6 if there are issues? Any input or opinions are welcome.

Thanks,

I've just used Procomm today on a 7.5 system. No problems!. Are you going from a SSC to a CPPM or CPPM to CPPM etc?.

Thanks Firebird,
We are going from a CP PII to a CPIV.

Pentium 2 to a 4 will be OK. Just make sure that your homework is done with good backups kept. From what I remember, you can still keep the floppy / CD-Rom drive in place and use the floppy to carry out the upgrade, without the need for the conversion tool.

I used to do this when it was release 4 to 5 etc.
