5.5 IMS and DNS issue. need help ASAP

i am moving my 5.5 box to new hardware, to a w2k box.

when install the IMS it said it requires a dns domain name so i followed kb 247063

it let me install it, but now i cannot browse network neighborhood because rather then server name just being like MAILSRV it is now like MAILSRV.DOMAIN.COM

What can I do?

Don't add the mailsrv part in your dns. ONly put the domain the server will serve -- domain.com

Network neighborhood is WINS resolving... not dns .. so i can't see how that is an issue. But - anyways.. the KB that you provided clearly suggests that you add the prefix of your domain.
