Dear All,
I have an SBS 2003 Standard system in place, with each individuals e-mail being retrieved from BT via the pop3 connector.
3 seperate members of staff are home based, & on the preference of their MD, log into the BT web site to manage their Mailboxes (none of them are set up on the 2003 Active Directory). They do not log into the sites server at all.
At the BT account end, they have their default BT e-mail address (eg - user123@btconnect.com), with an alias applicable to their companies own e-mail address format applied to it (eg - user@company1.co.uk).
They are able to send email to all sources (into the office & any other address), & it arrives from the address user@company1.co.uk.
They are receiving email fine from all sources except the office. Any email sent from an office based user gives the error :
"user@company1.co.uk on 04/09/2006 13:18
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.
<company1.co.uk #5.1.1>"
Am I missing something really obvious regarding a link between their BT account and my Exchange 2003 server ? I was under the impression that when my office based users attempt to communicate with the 3 remote users, it is basically the same scenario as any other e-mail sent to them from other sources.
Many Thanks, Barcellos.
