Just discovered that if you open up a config with the 5.0.8 Manager and look at the RemoteManager user under tab "Dial In" you see that the feature is inactive even though I connected with this user.

This means that is I change anything on that user without checking the Dial In tab next time I connect it will be disabled.

Just got a system inreachable after changing the password for the RemoteManager user =)

I just pulled my config from my demo and found you are correct. dial in gets disabled.

Well, the good thing is that it seems like it's only changed in your config if you change anything on the acutal user with the dial in settings.

Otherwise I would have a lot of customers to drive over to after the 5.0 Beta =|

Made a ticket with this so hopefully they'll release a fix asap.

I made some changes to an IP500 4.2(20) with 5.0(8) Manager yesterday. I can still connect today and when I've checked, dial in is unticked on RemoteManager.

I've done some others this week that doesn't seem to have stopped us dialing in.

Does this only stop dial in access on an R5 kit??

It stops access on any release, but only if you change the dial in user.

The trail version we had the same problem, recreate the "RemoteManager" for those who use this. because it will dissapear in the iproute.

Just did an upgrade on a IP500 but the RemoteManager is still there in the IP Route.

So as long as we dont' alter any settings on RemoteManager, then it's all fine. even though it unticks it??

It seems like you'll be fine after what I found out testing this. I also have made changes to a couple of customers before I noticed this and I can still access them.

Only change I ever do to RemoteManager is change the password. I'll keep my eyes on this.

I made a ticket about this with our dist, but seems like they haven't done anything about it yet.

I'll call them again but it's good if you also get this to Avaya.

Its not disabled. if you go off the screen (ie click another user) and go back to that screen it miraculously ticks itself.

Its another wonderfull little avaya glitch.

I heard that RTGDFM. Now tried that yet though. And not brave enough to try it until I'm on site and someone can dial in from the office. Scared to break it!!

I see.

So as long as you go to something else and then back to RemoteManager, it's all good.

That is a beauty!!!!!
