4gl program "Freezes"

Hi,
I am new to 4gl, right now I have the following problem. I run the program and it run perfectly except for when I try to view or print reports. How the program works is that I have a main program that calls another program to view or print a report, once this is complete it is supposed to return to the main program. However once the report has completed, the second program closes and the main program can be seen but the main program seems to be frozen.

Can anyone help???
