After memory check during bootup, it beeps twice then I get an error 162 and 163. It will not boot after that. Any idea what this might be?

What type of BIOS is on the machine? Go to a search engine and type in "BIOS" and it will tell you where you can find how to decode the errors

Could be as simple as a battery problem. If you have lost CMOS settings for drive types you'll get errors like this. Get into SETUP and see what your setting are. Ed Fair
