4800 Password Issue

I have an odd issue with the 4800 series switches running the 5.8.1.028 code that I'm wondering if anyone else has. On a brand new setup, no configuration or anything...all I'm doing is going to Security > Web/Telnet/Console and enabling a local password and setting what should be a valid read/write password of 1tsN0rtelD@t@, but then it's never letting me log back in with that and RW. Almost like the password isn't valid, but I can't find anything that indicates the requirements. Can anyone help me? Also, is there a way, on the latest code, to disable the password aging features? I don't want the passwords to expire. We have too many switches and it would be too much of a pain to have to remember to go change all the passwords every so often.

You can set a password aging time of up to 2730 days.

Perhaps you have the option to log in via serial console.

What command are you using?

I found this in the v5.6 documentation
Valid passwords are from 10 to 15 characters long. The password must contain a minimum of
the following:
• two lowercase letters
• two capital letters
• two numbers
• two special symbols, such as !@#$%^&*()
The password is case-sensitive.

Try using a simple password, just to see if it is a funny character stopping the login

cli password telnet local
cli password read-write password

login: rw
psswd: password

You can also use a simple password by dialing password security.
