Hi i have a Nortel 470-48T switch and everything works fine until yesterday...

I can't access the switch via SNMP and HTTP, but the traffics are ok (it is still pingable). I don't know if it is software or hardware issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
jason

Does the serial port CLI work? Its hard to imagine a hardware problem that would cause only the web/SNMP interfaces to die - on the surface it sounds like a software problem to me.

thanks anthonyanderberg,

i see. today i tried to use snmpwalk and sometimes it work. here is the problem: there are two subnets in my network, say: 3 and 4. the switch is on subnet 3. sometimes i can use snmpwalk to pull out the snmp data by using the machines on subnet 3 (not the full mib table though. it stuck in the middle and i get "no response" message), but not for subnet 4 machines.

the switch i'm using is nortel 470-48T. 4 units link together. this problem starts when i started filling up the ports.

any help would be appreciated
