Hi All!

I am having problem with Avaya IP Conference Phone 4690.
After power on all LEDs of phone are just blinking red.

What can be done to resolve the issue?

Any suggestions here would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Maybe some special combination of key to reset/restart setting?

Thanks.

I would upgrade the firmware. I think the latest firmware of for the 4690 is 2.3

After connection ethernet and power cords all LEDs of this conference phone is blinking red and doesn't work any more, so I can't apply any network settings (ip address, call server, tftp/ftp server etc.) for upgrading process.

Thanks.

Any ways lastest firmware 2.4

4690 must upgrade to R2.3.9 first, before upgrading to R2.4.0.

But in my situation I have another issue.

Did you try upgrading before and then roll the firmware back?

I think it may be broken, I've seen in the readme files for the 4690 firmware that rolling back the firmware in certain cases renders the handset useless. You should be able to find out the specifics if you do a quick search on the Avaya site.

I've been upgraded a lots of IP telephones, including about 10 conference 4690 telephones. So one of 4690 telephones doesn't work any more after this upgrade process.

May be exists of some command to reset this type of phone to the factory defaults firmware? or anything else - to reanimate ip phone?

re-animate", you have been watching too many science fiction movies :)

Yes, the re-animation process is very simple, you send it back to AVAYA, where they put the magic fairy dust back in to it (some might call it reloading firmware), and send you a replacement unit.

Thank you for your funny replies :)
I'll try to find something helpful on the Polycom website.
