4612 IP reset / clear

Is it possible to reset/clear (mute/hold 73738#) a 4612 phone that is powered up but NOT connected to the LAN? I think this one has old programming and would like to clear it. I have others and they all work fine.

This is a refurbed gen#2 set right out of the box and the issue is when it's connected it starts a DHCP cycle for an 5 count and displays the following.
"Contact DHCP/TFTP administrator L2Q params in option 43/176 or xxxSCR script file have looping conditions".

Any help would be apprieciated,

I could clear but I had to unplug the cable before the phone tried to find the server again.

When you quickly unplugged the LAN cable did it say "no ethernet?"

At what point did you hit "hold" 73738# ?
