I work for a company which bought approximately 20 4610sw IP phones about a year ago. Set up switch and was able to pre-install 12 phones with no problems and remaining 8 or so phones seem to be searching for a dhcp server. This work was all done on the same port so I know that it isn't a Cisco router or port problem. I have also tried the mute reset and mute clear functions. I am not sure when I should be starting this process, however the phones always keep looking for the dhcp server and I have let it go up to 1000 seconds. I have also set up another port using a dhcp in hopes of breaking the cycle and clearing the phones memory and have had no luck with this process as well. Thank you in advance for your time.

You can interrupt the boot-process bij pressing * and enter the parameters for server and port manually.....

In all the years I've worked with the 46xx model phones and have found it counting up on DHCP, 99.9% of the time it was an incorrect port setting on the data switch. The .1% were just bad phones.
