They are not supported until R3, due out March 21 '05.
On a related note: I have a customer with a 406 running 2.1.27, when I connect a 4602SW to his system (yes VCM installed) it goes through all the normal startup then prompts for ext/pw combo. I know I'm doing this part correctly, it says password error if I intentionally give the incorrect combo. When I enter the correct combo, it says "Wrong Set Type"?? Yet it works fine (same phone even) on my lab 403 which is also running 4.1.27
Yeah, I know - should have included that in my post. Not the case here. The extension I am attempting to use is definately IP. I've tried both setting up an IP extension manually and allowing the phone to create one via the auto-extension-create gatekeeper function. Same error either way.
Propably the user has last logged in om a different type of hardware, if you can then try it with PM Pro.
When asked on wich extension to logon give the extension ID instead of the user ID, did work for me.
Only other solution is to delete the user and recreate it.
This is a brand new extension created specifically for the IP hardphone. I have tried deleting it and re-creating, still no joy. I'm truly baffled on this one - although I confess I haven't had the time yet to sit down and analyze a monitor trace or anything that deep yet.
Have you tried deleting the user & IP ext & letting auto create try again?
I have had probs like this when trying to use a sophtphone on a user that had previously been a physical ext (2030)
