4600 series in G3 R11i

I have a G3 R11i Definity, I want to add a 4600 Series IP Phone. I have a Clan but no Medpro. I have the standard 5 ip phone licenses? I assume I need to add a Medpro, it that correct. I have softphone running currently. What else besides a medpro do I need to add? Any help would be appreciated.

The C-LAN handles the call setup, the medpro (Media Processor) is required to process the VoIP packets.

To register IP phones to CM you need a CLAN yes. You also need the MedPro to convert TDM (trunks & analog/digit phones) to IP (IP Phones) as well as setup shuffleing/hairpinning.

So the straight answer is yes. You need a MedPro as well as the CLAn to use IP Phones.

What EXACT model number in the 46XX series are you planning to use and what is your EXACT release of CM software. Believe me, this can be an issue.
