I wanted to hear from the forum if anyone has been having issues upgrading to the 3.6.3.05 code on the 460 switches.
Nortel has recommended that we do a step upgrade to get to this code but since the majority of our switch currently have the 3.1.1.16 code and 3.5.0.58 code we are being told to do a lengthy upgrade process.
We have had issues with step upgrades and the only way that we can get to the 3.6.3.05 code is by consoling into the stacks and erasing the NVRAM .
After the NVRAM is erased we jump straight tot he 3.6.3.05 or 3.7.3 code and do not need to do the lenghty step upgrade.

I have updated firmware on both of my 460 stacks remotely (2 unit and 4 unit) and have not had issues, but have seen the Nortel knowledgebase and the issues involving these upgrades. Both stacks are about written off the books and am replacing with 5520 switches. I plan to pull these 460s out of production and split into individual switches to use for backups for the 5520s which I have quite a few of as we have gone to VoIP phones with PoE.
