I have a conexant Soft 56k Data Fax Modem (pci).
This modem will only connect at 45k no matter what strings i add. Other modems from my computer connect higher than this.
I have tried updating the driver/firmware but on the conexant web site i could only find generic drivers which did not work with my modem.
Does anyone know where i can get a driver/firmware update for this modem.
Also when i use norton anti virus auto protect my system crashes when i connect to the internet using the modem. And when i connect/disconnect my system freezes for 1 sec. (this did not happen with an external modem that i tried).
The current driver i have is version 2.08.01 (it is a conexant driver)
