4507 problems

I'm away from work for the next couple of days and made the mistake of checking my email and one of my 4507 switches is experiencing problems. The error message I am getting is .... This system or the components of this system are not functioning properly

I can ping the switch but I can not telnet into it. Any ideas on how I can try to fix it - or see what is wrong - from a remote location??

Not much you can do if you can't telnet into it and you don't have say dial backup into the console port . Have some one power cycle it off hours and see if you can telnet into after that . Sometimes if the vty's are not configured properly all the sessions get tied up and don't release if you don't have the exec timeout statements on the vty's .
