I'm setting up a new VoIP network with several VLANs on 15 new 4500G switches. (~675 ports)
I'm having troubles programming the switches dynamically - that is, I need to program hybrid VLANs on all ports - easily. (All interfaces (except trunks) need to be hybrids, and apply dynamical learned VLANs to the interfaces.)
a) I've setup trunks and GVRP - my 4500's have dynamically learned the VLANs, however, the ports themselves are still access ports - and not hybrids.
b) Even after manually setting up hybrid interfaces I'm still forced to statically program the VLAN and assign it to the interface.
c) VoiceVLAN doesn't work for the many different VLANs (7 in total) I need to setup.
d) Clustering seemed like it would work but I haven't gotten father than what the manual says to configure. (FTP, TFTP, SNMP, MAC Blacklisting).
Likely I'm missing something basic. Isn't there an easier way to configure all these switches?
