I just added an expansion cabinet to a 450 system. I have a 8x16 mod in first slot, on the left on the top and a dsm32+ in the second slot on the left side. Both cards say enabling. I rebooted the expansion cabinet only and no change. I swapped the modules and then back and no joy. All dip switches are ON.

I did not reboot the whole system.

At one point I had the 8x16 with working phones and then the DSM32+ with just phone flashing. Some extensions on the DSM32+ are working but nothing on the 8x16. I am not using the trunks at all.

Last I checked I could get DSM32 phones working up on port 5001 etc. The 8x16 is on 5301 with sets just flashing .

I will try other modules but I've had both working for a while with no issue.

Any tips, shall I just wait? I left it and will be back on Monday.

All dip switches are ON

That's your problem. That is only applicable to the main cabinet. If you are looking at telephony resources, there is a column that tells you what to set the dip switches to for cards in the expansion after you select the type of module. The whole cabinet is tagged as "bus" 5 (or 6, don't remember exactly)....and don't forget that you have to physically connect a set to one of the ports on the card to get it to change to enabled status.

Aha! Thank you. Will try it and report back asap!!

worked perfectly, thanks!
