Pardon my ignorance; but I have little experience with Nortel equipment.
We have an existing network, where the closets contain Baystack 450-24 switches (typically 4 to a stack) with single 450-1SX MDA's and the 45-FX dual port in some. A second "recovery" server room was installed with fiber to all closests. The stacks with dual 450-FX MDA's were fine with the second connection.
We have 5 closets with 1 gB connection with single port 450-1SX MDA's. When the 2nd 450-1SX MDA is placed in a stack and its powered up; the stack does not come up right and the 2nd switch with the new 450-1SX does not work. Take it out; power back up and its working as before.
Vendor has tried this on two different closets with same results.
Is it possible to have multiple 45-1SX MDA's in a stack or is the vendor trying to do something that is not supported?
