4424LD+ Power Supply

I have a brand new install of a 3.0 Magix. Non of the cross connected 4424LD+'s displays will work with any of the power supplies. They'll unlike work if I cross connect 2 ext. ports to each location for the power. What's going on?

?? WHat is that. You are using a TDL card arent you? Sending only 1 pair to the wall jack which will plug via a 2 cond cord into the line side of the power supply. AND a 4 cond cord going from the power supply to the set.

Hard to beleive that all the power supplies are bad.

Although I have never tried it....will a reverse polarity on the wiring to a TDL set cause the set not to work? Anyone ever run into this?

If I do the normal 1 pair to the jack, 2 con. line cord to the pwr supp. and a 4 con. line cord to the phone, and they don't work. But if I put 2 station ports to it, 1 to the blue and 1 to the orange pairs of the cable and a 4 cond. line cord straight from the jack to the phone, it will work.

I know, it's ubsurd!!

What this reverse polarity you mentioned jinxs?

WHat card are you using to hook up to 012tdl, 412tdl??????????????

The LD+ requires a separate power supply that plugs into a 110 outlet. Plug the power supply into the wall, then the wall jack to the P/S and the phone into the P/S. Without the power supply the phone will work but the display will not light.

I know fonedude. I just said that it wasn't working. That's the problem.

Mongo, I'm using all 412tdl cards.

Do other phones work fine off of that card? Are you making sure you use the first, fifth or ninth port of the card for the 4424ld+? I beleive they will only work on those ports.

Actually, I have other installs where they work fine on any port with the power supplies. And all other phones work fine as well. But, it's a little trick if you say lose the power supply or something that you can cross connect another ext. port to the cable (Orange pair), with a for conductor line cord to give power to the display. Now this isn't the proper way, but it works. But this place has 6 4424LD's and not one of them will work with any of the power supplies on any port?? This sucks. The only thing I can think is if the 412 cards are older TDL cards. I installed the switch, but didn't supply the equipment.
