4422 IP handsets

Hi,

I have over 300 of these handsets on various sites all working correctly however occassionally some will just stop letting the PC connected to them attach to the network

They will not work when I reboot the phone or restart the switch port however if I leave them unconnected for a while (days!) most will start working again which is strange.

Does anyone have any ideas why this could happen?

Also does anyone know the code for the factory reset of these handsets.

I can help you with factory reset code.

You must be logged in and must enable Administrator mode.

Administrator mode:
C * 5
Factory reset:
C * 9

What kind of switches are you using?

Check the config on the switch ports by doing a "show run interface xx" and post it here.

Check the logging on the switch - you may have to configure logging first - this could give you some clues.

Telnet onto and get the interface status off the 4422 as well.
