Hello everyone,

I have a user who has a Lucent/Avaya 4412D+ phone, his username is displayed then the following characters "01 G". I suspect that the 01 must be some error code, but I could be wrong. All other staff members do not have the 01 displayed. What could be wrong?

IPGuru might be able to enlighten us about the "01" but what I've seen is when incomming calls come, that will increase. The "g" means they're logged into a hunt group.

I would check to ensure that the user's voicemail is ticked on under the "voicemail" tab. Also, what system and ver of voicemail are you using?

Lastly, how is the user trying to access the voicemail?

2.1.35 IP Office, and I believe its VM PRO 2.1.17 or .19

Another strange thing, when an employee recieves a call, her Speakerphone auto picks it up?? How do I change this?

This is only internal calls, right? The station is set to handsfree awnser. I don't know how the 4412 looks like, but you probebly have a menu button and softkeys to controle the display. Is there a displayed feature called 'Hfans'?
deactivate it, if so.

Hfans isnt activated. AND it auto answers with the speaker phone with external calls.. its very very weird.. i changed the physical phone and it still happens.. I checked in Manager to see if there was a setting checked but I dont see anything.

1) The 01 is a call count for the call history function. It incements for calls on which a CLI is available. It can contain up to 32 calls.

A recent change in 3.0 was that it only records a CLI once, subsequent calls from a CLI already in the call history don't increment the counter.

To view it press Menu twice, press > and select Hist. The display shows the time, date and number of the caller. Use the < and > keys to display the details of different callers. You can then select to either callback the caller or delete the call from the call history.

Very odd that only one use has it and that its at one, unless the systems getting no CLI, but to my knowledge it should increment for internal calls also.

2) The G is in group.

3) She has Internal Handsfree auto answer on. Press Menu and select HfAns to toggle it on/off. If it doesn't go off, look for a DCP CW2,2,2,1 of similar in here SourceNumbers in the configuration and delete.

4) ps. try to get hold of the IP Office user guides.

You hav this on one station only?

On the extension form; is the port set to 'standard telephone'?

On the user tab - telephony - is 'off hook station' set to yes?

About voicemail. What do your hear when you dial *17 to collect voicemail?

sizbut

By doing this

If it doesn't go off, look for a DCP CW2,2,2,1 of similar in here SourceNumbers in the configuration and delete.

I was able to fix the womans problem of having auto answer on speakerphone, and the voicemail issue. Thanx guys!!
