I know Avaya's official position, but will they work? We're working on taking over a large customer with 5 sites that has 30+ of these dinosaurs lying around. I told them they wouldn't probably work after upgrading to R11. But they're not keen on upgrading that many phones to 9508's. I've had success with 2400/5400 series phones (which they also have a bunch of) but I haven't tried the 4400 series.

They work. Maybe look at refurb 9508 phones though.

They act weird.
The button programming gets screwed up,
A reboot of the phone fixes the issues.
