Hello Forum,

I am in a very sticky situation as my Storagetek 4410 crashed.
Hand1 has a big issue on calibrating one of the lamps.
Have swapped out lamp and did a long IPL but did not resolve
the issue. So i replaced the complete hand still the same.
Swapped over hands still the same issue in hand1.
Has anyone got any idea as the library is down and is in manual mode until we can pin point the failure.Do you think this is a card problem. This all happens when i am on leave so phone calls coming out of my ear ball help...

Thank you all

The LW (in the LCU) is the card that uses the video signals, but it is more likely to be a cable problem. A calibration failure on a lamp shouldn't kill the whole LSM though - hand 1 should just go INOP and the LSM come up with hand 0 only. As a temp measure to get the LSM up, why not try blinding the hand 1 camera lens with insulating tape to force an INOP and hope the LSM comes up all the way. I assume you have no LMU maintenance enabled to look at the event logs?

STKman,

Which cable do you think may be at fault.

When you mean put tape do you mean cover the lens on the camera.

There is no maintenance.

Thanks

We know who you are now…………our competitor!
We know you don’t know what you’re doing…..ha ha!
Will this 4410 ever rise from the ashes?
Probably not.
