425 Fail to logon - Exchange Agent

hello,

I am running ArcServe 2000 (build 1086) on an exchange 5.5/winNT4.x (patched) server. When I try to do a bricklevel backup the system tells me that the logon failed.

I get a "backup agent error --(85) "invalid user ID or password was submitted"

I am trying both the backup user login and the administrator login (with domain) and neither works.

Hi,
Try using the exchange agent account without giving the domain name in the security for the bricks. Also, highlight my computer icon-right click the mouse-security-give domain\username and the password.
Try the backup.

Rerun the Exchange Agent configuration, and reenter all your security information. If the information you entered during configuration does not match what you enter into the security dialog, it will fail...
