I installed a 412TDL card in a Magix system, but getting just a flashing light from the extensions I even connected one direcly to board, I did a board renumber and it shows up in the inventory with extension numbers. Any clue on how to troublshoot this?
Shut the system down and restart it. The flashing light (message light) on a Magix phone normally blinks only while the processor is going through it's start-up routine. If the phone is a 4424LD+ - you also need the extra power supply plugged in - or the display will not work. After a shut down/restart - I would redo the board renumber. Also, check the processor error log (for any problems with the slot the 412TDL is in)and check the maintenance status of the 412TDL card to make sure it shows no error conditions (red "on"). If there are errors - try resetting the module/slot through maintenance and then restore it. If it still doesn't work - you may have a "bad" module.
Make sure that the amphenol connector to the 412TDL is wired correctly. Are you using a patch panel to connect phones to the 412TDL? If so, make sure that the wiring from the amphenol connector to the patch panel follows the correct color-code sequence in Avaya's documentation. Sometimes, people wire these things up incorrectly.
