Can you use a 408MLX module with a Magix cabinet with 2.1 software? Any limitations?

Yes you can - and there are no limitations.

The 408MLX comes in a Legend (clamshell) version as well as a "naked" Magix blade. Magix boards can be fitted with a clamshell and installed in a plastic Legend cabinet, but there is no way to accomplish the reverse.

As a vendor, I'm sure that you were aware of this. But I thought I'd throw it out there for anyone else who stumbles across this link in the future.

Last year, I had a local Avaya channel partner send me a replacement 800DID module for a customer's Magix. And--you guessed it--they send me the Legend version. So it can happen.

Well - the 408 MLX should fit - whether a Legend or Magix version. If it's a Legend - it will obviously be missing the Magix grey front piece - and there will be no (easy) way to lock it into place.

The old style Legend 800 DID will not fit - because it is a 2-piece Legend board (too tall to fit in a Magix case).
